Teh Tech » Trend Micro http://tehtech.com Being an Admin is Hard Enough Wed, 14 Jul 2010 16:14:56 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.1 Trend Micro Client/Server Agent Uninstall Without Password http://tehtech.com/trend-micro-clientserver-agent-uninstall-without-password/ http://tehtech.com/trend-micro-clientserver-agent-uninstall-without-password/#comments Wed, 14 Apr 2010 13:49:13 +0000 admin http://tehtech.com/?p=320 I am posting this because I have had this issue a few times and it seems to be happening more and more often to me.  The idea is that when you go to unload office scan, or the trend agent it prompts you for a password, you enter it and away you go.   The issue is when you have a client computer that is not communicating with the server as it should be, it cannot authenticate the password.  Here is the fix; in the registry key below change the DWORD value to a ’1′ instead of a ’0′.   This change will allow for the uninstallation of the software without entering the password.
